I'm going to Goa for a holiday in Feb. And have been told that AVON hand lotion works best.

Your lucky, I have been many times, I do know that Avon spray skin softner works, for some reason they do not like it, but use plenty of it, you can buy anything in Goa, go straight to a pharmacy, they are great to help and advise, DO NOT DRINK THE WATER OR HAVE ICE...you will see why when you stay for a few days, food is wonderful. dont be afraid to travel around, but get a trustworthy taxi driver, he will stay with you throughout if you wish. for exchange look at all exchange rate offices for they vary from one to another . Have fun, enjoy. ..its so cheap. and they are very friendly. Please take malaria tablets. get just a few here, you can buy them cheaper in GOA

Yep Avon is good. My sister is a Avon Representative, personally there products are good. Even though its for women not all of there stuff is but most is its still good products. By the way if you by a natural bug repellent that smells like mint read what it say in it. It has Cat Nip, and well wild Cougars lol.

Skin So Soft does not work. I can attest to that personally. The best repellent is DEET and the stronger the better. It works by confusing the mosquitos so they think you are in a different place.

The higher the DEET content, the more effective it is. I have used the avon products too and they do work, but not as effectively as "OFF" or some others geared for that type of protection.

garlic is effective as a soft natural remedy, but if your going somewhere with bugs the size of birds, you can't go wrong with Deet, when i was in Whitehorse we used a 55% Deet mixture product from the UK, it burned like hell but worked great......although we are still worried if any of us will ever have kids now,lol
I've never heard of the avon stuff, and i've tried lots of things over the years to find what works best

Avon's Skin so Soft is good. Also putting a fabric softener sheet under you cap or in your pocket could work.

Jungle Formula for me and drink Tonic Water or Vodka and Tonic!
The quinine acts as a natural repellent.

Best to buy the local brand when you get there. In Kenya there is one called Fuok Off! (or something very similar)!

Nobody believes me when I tell them this, but Garlic Powder. Eat two teaspoons of the stuff before you go around mosquitos or anything else that sucks your blood. They won't come near you. Come to think of it, no one else will either.

Citronella oil is great but I've also heard that Avon's so soft is suppose to be good.
