I have recently split from my ex - who said that it was becuse he still loved his ex, altho things seemed fine up until the date that it happened. I suspect that he had met someone else. How do I find out if this is true?

i know that it probably hurts right now and will for a while but it will get easier honey. you should just forget about him and move on you will find someone that will treat you the way you deserve to be treated.
if you have thought this for a while then you are probably right anyway your gut insticnts are normally right. i bet it is eating away at you but it will probably make you feel worse to know that he went with someone whilst with you so you should get you dancing shoes on and go on the pull meet someone who will want to be with you but if it is really bothering you then ask him

Don't even bother going there. You will just demean yourself by digging around for answers. Forget about him, i know it is easy for me to say so, but it is the best thing to do. In Afrikaans we have a saying that goes like this [ elke pot het n deksel ] every pot has a lid however skew, just wait and it will come to you. Good luck to you. I know you are hurting right now but it will get better.:))

Just leave it and move on, don't waste a second of your time and energy on pursuing someone who isn't completely into you - like you deserve. Don't settle!
Ironically your strong and accepting response will actually have him begging for you back! maybe... eventually
