I have a wedding in August and have an outfit in mind already. The wedding is in Port Douglas nr Cairns, Australia. I'd like to wear white silk evening gloves with my dress but was wondering what is the correct etiquette for wearing and removing evening gloves.

I'd like to wear them for the wedding service however am unsure if it is polite/practical to remove the gloves for the wedding breakfast?

Books of etiquette will tell you never to eat or drink while wearing gloves. You can wear them on the street, at church and other formal occasions except when eating or drinking.

Hope that helps. Have fun...

August in Australia is the last month of Winter. September will be the start of Spring, although Cairns is more like a tropical place compared to Sydney or Canberra.
