This is a strange question, whether you love your cat and dog the same or not, you'll only know the answer in your head. How can a dog or cat tell what you're thinking?
If you mean, can you give them the same amount of attention or affection at the same time, then it would depend or weather your cat and dog get along. If they do then yes, but if they don't then probably no.
As for the Wife and Mistress, thats a totaly different matter! You shouldn't even have a Mistress if you have a Wife, how does that even relate to your question? Unless you mean two people (or animals on this occasion) who you love the same but you should only love one, then thats true for the second question, but not for the first.
I have 2 cats and a dog, and I love them all equally, but theres no way I could give them the same amount of attention at the same time.
Anyway I've said enoygh, I got a bit carried away at the end, but I hope you understood what I meant.

You should be able to love your dog and cat equally, if differently.
The same may be true for a wife and mistress, but I'm not going to worry about that. If you have corrupt morals, that's your problem.

It's a nice thought to say you can.... I do "love" my animals the same, but you will almost always prefer ones company to the other, even if that switches on a daily basis. The amount you love them does not change, but the attention you pay them most likely will.
If what your asking is if you can treat them equally and give the same amounts of attention - then sure - why not!!
btw, the thing about the wife and mistress - totally different..... I sure hope you don't sleep with your pets =p

of course you can because cats don't spend much time with humans.so if the cat is out you playwith the dog and when the cat comes you play with the the cat .do this always and you would be able to love them both.i have cat and and a dog in the house so i know to treat them both.but you can't love your wife and mistress equally.you can like your mistress but not love her only if you would like to offend God.

For dog and cat, yes as long as you dont keep them together cuz thats when they'll fight and u will be annoyed with one
As for wife and mistress, i think wife is the person u ecretly love most although u might think u love the mistress

I would say yes to both. Different people offer us different needs. just as each of my dogs offer me something different. Your wife may not understand but I do.
