It is possible but it is also expensive. The problem is not the RHD, after all, American postal vehicles are RHD. The problem is getting emissions up to American standards can be pricey particularly in a state like California. The other would be availability of parts when it needs repair - especially steering related parts for obvious reasons.

After researching Washington State laws for Motor vehicals, I have found nothing in the laws that would prohibit Owning or Driving such a vehical. Check your states DOL laws to be sure.

im not sure about the right side steering, id imagine it would be allowed....find a dealership overseas in UK or Japan for example (right side steering places) and than arrange for shipping..im not sure how the taxes work...i kno in Long Beach CA they got some london cabs that were brought over form the UK but they had them changed over to left side before putting them to work in LBC

most likely DOT, EPA, etc will decline you application to import such vehicle. You best bet is contact an import broker who know the legal bout and could tell first hand if so or not.

my roommate has a 97 right drive integra. He didn't import it himself, but he bought it from a dealer in 2000 specifically because it was a right drive car.
He hasn't encountered anyone telling him not to drive it or ticketing him for driving it, other than speeding.
