Pneumonia is a SEVERE infection ( bacterial, viral or others) of the lung tissues.
As the patient is breathing constantly or/and coughing the bacteria or virus etc are teeming in the patient's breath and in the respiratory passages including the mouth.
The infective agent may thus be spread airborne or through droplets of saliva & mucous during coughing.
As one can never know whether one is immune to the causative microorganism of the partner it is therefore prudent to avoid kissing.
If it is a viral pneumonia the virus can surely manifest itself as a cold initially in the kissing partner.
So my advise is to be patient until all the microorganisms are killed by the antibiotic......usually a week to 10 days.

Depending on the cause of the patient's pneumonia. And also any underlying conditions the patient/kisser has. I think its safe to say that most of the time, you won't catch a cold from kissing someone with pneumonia unless you're immunocompromised.
