when we are hot we sweat . as you sweat you loose body fluid as well as salt and other things your body needs. if you get to dehydrated you can die.
this is because we must have a certain level of salt and water in our bodies.
there are other parts of the body that suffer from too much heat and one of them is the brain. the brain is surrounded by liquid that is kept at a certain temp . to much heat such as would come from a fever alters the chemistry in the brain and if it is hot enough for long enough we can damage the brain.
its really much like a car. think of the different fluids that your car needs oil transmission fluid brake fluid and other kinds of oil in the form of grease . if you run your car like your in a race and over heat the oil and brakes and transmission fluid they are damaged the car might run OK for some time afterward but not having oils that are the right viscosity makes for worn metal on metal . we don't have gears in our heads but we do have a system that uses a fluid that is subject to damage from temperature so we have to be careful not to over heat it.
lucky for us once we cool down we don't have to go have the fluids all drained and replaced. the body does its own fluid changes when it has not been damaged to badly .
the most commonly known fluid in the brain is called electrolight
we loose them or it as we sweet so we must be carefull to
at the very least keep enough fluid and electolight matterails going in so the levels dont drop off too much.
that is the basics of why we have to maintain a temperature range that is not that big

Your body stops working when it gets hot becausewhen you workout, which heats up your body, you sweat. Sweating causes your body to lose needed liquids and otherimportantminerals it loses when you sweat.

when your body gets too hot it puts more strain on your heart and other organs and makes the processes a lot more difficult and they shut down so they can cool off.
