Puppies love to run.... just not in a straight line LOL

Take her for a half-block, then pick her up and carry her back. So she doesn't get used to being carried back, next time carry her a half-block out and run with her back.

By the time she's a few months old, she should love jogging with you.

Depends so much on what breed she is. The bigger the dog, the older it should be. Whatever the breed, you should build her stamina up slowly - just like an athlete, gradually extending the amount of exercise she has.
A good rule of thumb for exercisiing a puppy is 5 minutes exercise for every month in the age of a puppy - so yours should have only 10 mins exercise (although she's too young to go out at all yet)

Let your pup run around on grass in a fenced yard. Any running with a human on pavement is a loooong time off---and much will depend on the breed.

For example, running with a 6 month old lab on pavement could permanently damage the pup's hips.

Ask your vet for suggestions, or a breeder of your particular breed.

HI
You really shouldn't take her running until she is full develop. Growing strains the joints enough but with the impact of running it could do even more damage especially since it isn't full grown. If it is a larger dog you aren't even suppose to let it do stairs or jumping off a bed. It could actually ruin their hips and elbows. I put mine in a baby carrier like dog pack and run with them like that until they are too heavy, I'd wait until at least nine months they are almost at their full size around nine months. Hope this helps.

i could say he remains too youthful. in spite of the undeniable fact that, it is ok to have him run with you for a mile or so (or as others have reported, half-hour) provided he's finished some stable exercising - yet no longer if it is the 1st time he's been out working because it is going to positioned too plenty rigidity on immature joints - and hand him over to somebody to take him back homestead? upload - there's a international of distinction between unfastened engaged on grass, and organised engaged on a pavement/street.

She's good to exercise. But there is a required amount of exercise for each dog. You should try asking your vet the next time you bring her to a check-up. There is also a book called "140 Dog Breeds" that s really helpful for common and unusual breeds of dogs. Everything you need to know about your dog must be in there.

I hope your puppy grows strong and healthy!!!

I had a puppy from the age of 9 weeks too,
I would consider taking your puppy at 4 or 5 months old.
