(I am talking the DVD with photos (JPEG,GIF,Bitmap etc.))

First, your computer's CD-PLAYER should also read DVDs. If so, insert the DVD to your computer. Browse it by clicking My Computer in either the desktop or the Start Menu. Click the drive that the DVD you've inserted is on. Look for the photos in the DVD or click search in the standard buttons or start menu. Make sure the location of what you've searching is in the drive what your DVD is on. Type the folder or the file name of the photo's name or folder is in. Right click the file and choose copy(otherwise you use CTRL+C). Open the folder you want to copy the file/photo. Right Click to the empty space and choose Paste(otherwise you use CTRL+V). Notice that the file is in that folder. Eject the DVD. Open the file, and try if it opens even though the DVD is not in. If yes, you are successful.

Yes just explore the cd and drag the file to somewhere on your PC
