You are in la la land [out of touch with reality], if you think Homeland security has made America any safer now than after 911.

where in the world did you get the notion that america's a "safer place"? if that were so, i should be able to walk around the streets of chicago without the fear of getting mugged or raped by gunpoint--but that isn't so. i should be able to keep my doors unlocked at night instead of using 5 deadbolts and a security alarm--but again, that isn't so. it is no safer now than after the creation of homeland security. sure, maybe the borders are under tighter control and immigration laws are stricter but for the most part, life in america will never be crime-free. where you have poverty--you have crime and since this is a capitalist society, there will always be poverty! (if you prefer a safer lifestyle, live in canada!) so as far as gun control...what do you think?

Look at the statistics, last time I checked seatle is a pretty safe place for crime...reason concealed carry permits for law abiding citizens...or how about Nevada, or many of the other Western States...on the contrast look at the bay area in California or WA DC with their gun control laws homicide is up significantly! Do you think that criminals are going to listen to gun control laws? NO! The restriction of firearms is contrary to the Constitution for a reason and it isn't for hunting and sportsmen. The first thing Hitler did in nazi germany was to confiscate civilian weapons. Gun Control = Fascism. I know many liberals are out there with the best intentions, but their reasoning is fallacious. Gun control is not the answer to crime, responsible citizenship is the answer.

haha yeah America ain't a "safer place" anymore than it used to be, not when places like El Segundo has murder and gang rape happening. And so I say no, gun control should not be implemented anymore than it already has been, because crime would sky rocket. People love trying to get things that they aren't supposed to have, just like marijuana and heroine.

The best gift my dad ever gave me was a Life Membership to NRA on the day I was born.
