If you search for IE7 in here you'll find many many people having trouble with it.
For you it might be fine but...

Try Firefox instead

My husband downloaded it onto his laptop & it worked ok for a couple of weeks.
16 days ago it prevented him from updating his anti-virus & resulted on very lengthy calls to BT who couldn't find a solution.
Then, at last the problem was resolved & he was told that Microsoft like customers to try out IE7 while it's still in production. They can then see where the problems are etc...
What he was told was that the server was sending out the wrong pin number.
They (BT) took over his laptop & removed IE7, along with other programmes that had messed up.
He was told that Mozilla was able to offer all that IE7 offered but without it being in the testing period.

IE7 is really bad, it's a cheap copy of FireFox, Opera, Netscape. All of those!!

It's just really bad. Get FireFox!

But I guess you need IE to download updates for Windows XP (if you're on that) - anyway, IE7 is now a "HIGH PRIORITY" update which is a LIE!

Haha, have fun!

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.

I love it, especially as I normally have 6 or 7 browser windows open at the same time, and with IE7 you can have them all open within 1 window.

I think IE7 is Good.
Some pages seem to load up better in IE& and Some load up better in Mozilla.
But IE6 is a waste of time, No tabbed browsing and not a lot of embedded protection

I hate it. I use Firefox all the time now except when I'm forced to use IE to update a couple of programs.
It hijacks FF and tries to use it as a server to connect to the net when I go online. Its added new adware, it copies every url I type and posts that info back to Microsoft.
After I use it - which is about once a month - I run Ad-Aware SE Personal, then reboot to put a stop to it!

it is NOT worth downloading...i had it and there were so many errors and it kept freezing on me. a lot of the time, it closes all my windows. i heard this happens to a lot of other people. so i say to stick with version 6 if u already have it. i believe u can use the yahoo toolbar on version 6 for the tab feature. i heard that mozilla firefox was good...try that

I think it's best to never run IE at all. Most of the security updates Microsoft issues are for IE issues. I stopped using IE altogether and went to some obscure browser that works great. I no longer have spyware, trojans, adware. Life is good again.
