well, i'm going to the states soon for a semester and there's this guy i like (might be "the one" lol u never know). anyway, he's in NY, and i will be in MA, so when he comes to visit me, of course he'll stay in my dorm room ( i would never let him sleep at a hotel since he won't let me do that when i go to NY). the thing is, if my room is single, there going to be one bed, and if it's double, there's still going to be one bed and the other one will be my roommate's who most probably will be in the room. i completely trust him, and i am sure he will never do anything to hurt me, but i am muslim (pretty liberal, but STILL muslim), and i am sure i would feel pretty bad if i slept in the same bed. i mean, it would be great to have him next to me, and cuddle, but i'm not sure if falling asleep with him is a the brightest idea. what do you reckon?

I did. And I applaud the girl's bravery. However knowing myself, how poorly she knew me at the time, and my capacity for pervertitude(yes i made that word up), I would NOT if our situations were reversed.

From the horse's mouth, there are a lot of nice guys who can be trusted, but then again there are guys like me who WILL try to make an advance (but can take no for an answer), and then there are guys who're absolutely psycho.

At least date the guy a while first. If you haven't met him in person yet, then definitely NO!

It's possible that you could go to bed with him and nothing happen. If there is a 10% chance that he will try something then he will. It's poss able that you could wake up from a deep sleep to him throwing a rod in you. What i am trying to tell you is if you crack a door for a man it is most likely he will open it. He sleeps on the floor in a bag or in a motel that is the only way u can make sure nothing goes wrong.

Are you sure...you don't want to? come on? you like him? and you said you trust him...men are men all the time all ways we get around when we find the crack you find us there...when you wake up every thing is said and done!

The thing is you worried and thinking a lot ...and for that you are giving excuse saying I trust him, don't you think your are trying to boost your confidence for something you want to do and for the thing you are looking forwarded to. Let me ask you one question, You are Muslim, right? if he stays in the hotel...do you thing he would not understand the situation like you are a female( gender issue), you are Muslim( religion issue) and of course you have only one Bed(Fact)...because he has not let me to stay in hotel while i was in NY....so I have to pay back is a big EXCUSE!!!

By the way it is not fare to let your male friend to sleep with you and disturb your sleepy room mate for the things that comes after

Well, I say allow him to stay in bed with you, but just in case things really start escalating and he starts sorta making you do things that question your own morals and ethics, be prepared to have a list of phone numbers and addresses of the hotels around you available. If he does do anything against your consent, then kick him out. Its better for him to stay in a hotel for a couple of nights then for him to compromise your morals (that being the worse case scenario). But if you trust him completely, then there should be no reason for him not to stay with you.

I think it will be fine, as long as he knows it's just sleeping together and doesn't expect anything else. From the sounds of it it would be hard to try anything anyway. I think it would be fine, you both seem to have your heads screwed on.

If I really trust the person and I know him well, then yes, there is no problem!
