You were right to move on with your life it he wasn't what you wanted in a committed relationship, but you also have to be willing to let him move on all; sometimes it is just too painful to be involved with an ex to try to be a friend when you have been and still want more.

You need to completely sever ties with him. A girl broke up with me once and we tried to be friends because we still loved each other but we just couldn't be together. It was so painful that I ended up having a bad drinking and drug problem for a while. I had to move out of state and get as far away from her as I could to forget the whole thing. Really painful. Just tell him he has to move on too.

No you're not wrong for moving on with your life. It's what people do when they are not satisfied and feel like they can move on and do better. In this case, looks like you did the right thing. When you're looking for a boyfriend you want someone mature, sweet, loving, loyal etc.Someone who can meet your standards and understand your needs. If he wasnt doing this for you, dont feel bad for him. They'll be a girl out there that'll probally like that type of guy! Maybe he'll grow up one day! For you he just wasnt boyfriend material. Sometimes it works, sometimes it dosent.Dont settle for less, settle for the best! Dont try and be his friend out of pity though...thats just messed up.Be his friend because you WANT no be his friend. :) Besides you have the upper hand, you're the DUMPER not the dumpee! LOL Good luck, best of wishes.

If you think you were right to break up with him, then you WERE right? Everyone has bad points to their character. If they become bad enough to outweigh the good or so you can no longer put up with them, the best thing to do is end the relationship.
