I actually was thinking about the same thing... because I just recently asked the question of what will happen to a Person who lives Islam... and I apparently got the answer that s/he is to be killed by other muslims.... I wonder what has a person who was born to Islam would do! They didn't chose to be born into Islam! What if they never wanted to be Muslim and didn't agree with the religion's beliefs? Can't this person chose his religion b4 s/he is judged?????

Some of you muslims (according to your answers to this question) are mentally retards. You are not allowed to kill people. People are given the freewill and should be allowed to chose their own beliefs. I believe you are the ones who go to hell, not a person who leaves this odd religion.

Well, there's no such thing as escape from Islam cos if you're born as a muslim, it simply means you are SURROUNDED by muslims. Even if the community allows it, the syariah courts will stop you. That's why the 250,000 muslims who wanted to dump islam in malaysia couldn't do it. Now, there's a big fight going on in that Asian country between the muslims and the ex-muslims.
How to escape? Can a piece of weed growing in your backyard escape unless you pluck it out?
I have muslim friends (some wanting to leave islam, some hinted, but no courage to do it), and I tell you, its very unfortunate and sad to be born a muslim. You get brainwashed, stopped from growing mentally and don't get answers. That's why muslim countries are generally, backward, people uneducated and they only know to hate infidels/non-muslims. Cos they only learn from their local mosques.
If the world is going to see brighter days, they must start with religious freedom, next freedom of speech, next the removal of the syariah courts.
From the responses you see from the muslims here, its quite obvious their level of backwardness and low intellect. They only know, kill disbelievers! obey allah! muhammad is prophet!.
9/11 was a blessing in disguise. At least the world now sees Islam as it truly is.

I think most of the violent passages deal with people to CONVERT TO and then LEAVE.
I know a lot of American "Muslims" and they don't bow and pray, they don't go to the Mosque, they don't wear head gear, but they all own a Quran and preach Islam.
These types are also found in some Liberal countries. In Iran before the Aytotolla, in Lebanon and probably in Turkey.
When a ruler comes in they usually impose their own belief standards, which, as some Muslims point out here, can be tribal based not Islam based. Apparently there is no restriction on that. If the rulers tribe believes the veil should be worn, it's a requirement. If the ruler's tribe is more liberal, then head gear could be optional.
I was amazed Saddam was hung, I thought beheadding was the official Islamic way. It was told it was considered the most humane way. Hanging is sort of barbaric, although that may have been what they had in mind...

Some say, I am a Muslim, some other, I am a Christian, and others "I am a Hindu". This is similar to saying "I am black, I am white, I am fat, I am thin, etc"
These are all bodily designations by social customs, by mind, etc.
The actual fact is "I am not this body, but I am a spirit soul lving in this body". I am spirit soul, I am eternal and unchangeable.
Read this text:-
===========
"As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this body, from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul similarly passes into another body at death. A self-realized soul is not bewildered by such a change."
"As a person puts on new garments, giving up old ones, similarly, the soul accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones."
=================
Our body changes, but we, the spirit soul, do not change, and that's why we can perceive the changes in our body. So, God is "Supreme Eternal Being", just like we are "Infinitesimal Eternal Beings".
He is the chief Eternal among all Eternal beings. The only difference is that chief Eternal is providing for all other infinitesimal eternals, in terms of food, body, riches, poverty, intelligence, etc.
So God is Supreme Spirit, we are of same quality, but not same in quantity. We are minute Spirit Souls; if we chose to become dependent of God, the Supreme Spirit and love Him, then He would take care of us.
=========
This is the idea in all religions, but people lost this point and fight for bodily designations!! This is a pity!

most of the Muslims are proud to be Muslim and if u research you will find out it is the fastest growing religion; i don't know what are u talking about, if somebody wants to change their religion that's their choice. nobody can do anything about it
answer of additional detail:
nothing will be done with the person who change his/her religion from Islam. you are not allowed to kill somebody for this. this is between him/her and God. if u r so interested to know about Islam, read Quran with English translation or go to some mosque who can guide u better.
and stop thumbs down to the answers u didn't wanted to hear ..lol

EVERYONE is born Muslim (belief in one God), you change your faith only after.
In a Muslim country, they maybe punished but if there in a non-muslim country then any Islam punishment cannot be implemented.
But as for the hereafter they will go to hell
[016:106] Whoever disbelieved in God after his belief, except him who is forced thereto and whose heart is at rest with Faith; but such as open their breasts to disbelief, on them is wrath from God, and theirs will be a great torment.
003:090] Verily, those who disbelieved after their Belief and then went on increasing in their disbelief (i.e. disbelief in the Qur'ân and in Prophet Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him]) – never will their repentance be accepted (because they repent only by their tongues and not from their hearts). And they are those who are astray.

Everyone should have a right to choose their religion! That's why my parents never baptised me as a baby. They said they wanted me to choose my own religion when I was older!
