Cheese is made with milk by separating the curd from the whey. Depending on the type of cheese ie. fresh, soft-white, natural rind, semi-soft, hard and blue a certain amount of whey is allowed to remain in the curd. for example for a fresh cheese such as ricotta the majority of the whey is left with the curd and a starter cultuer is then added and the milk is warmed and then allowed to ferment. A hard cheese is made by removing the majority of the whey, chopping the curd (this helps to remove even more whey) and then heating the curd and then salted. This mixture is then placed into a mold, pressed and placed into a "maturing room" for weeks or years.

I think you've never eaten cheese before, haven't you?
Cheese DOES taste like milk. And it depends on what kind of cheese you eat. Some is creamier..like French cheese (Brie/Camembert), hard cheese is less creamy (like Italian hard cheese/Parmesan cheese).
But doesn't matter what kind of cheese you eat, you always can taste the milk. But dun imagine that you'd taste cheese like a pure milk taste, cuz it doesn't.
There are hundreds types of cheese, some with herbs, spices, or even wood smokes. These effected on the cheese flavor.
And once again.. it doesn't matter which kind, you always can taste the milk inside the cheese.

Yoghurt is made from milk too, but it tastes like yoghurt....how bizarre!!! It could be the fact that they add rennet, and salt and cultures and assorted other shite that isnt milk!! It could even be the fact its cheese and it tastes like cheese otherwise if it tasted like milk well they wouldnt of called it cheese would they...they would of called it milk.
And whoever said it does taste like milk......I seriously suggest you change shops, they must be selling you rotten milk. Either that or your cow is broken.

Salt is made from sodium (an explosive metal) and chloride (a poisonous gas). Doesn't taste like either one.
Also, cheese has salt in it.
