The last thing Catholics are known for is a small number of children and, in case no-one's explained this to you before, having sex is how people get children.
So no, Christians do not hate sex.

Christians don't hate sex. But the Bible does tell us we should be careful not to sin sexually. Hetersexual sex between married couples is a good thing. However this world corrupts all good things ...especially sex. There is far too much emphasis on sex...to sell stuff especially pop music...I am sick of hearing about all the celebrities who treat sex like sugar and indulge in more and more behaviours which cause much sadness in the world. Sex is for enjoyment and procreation but the Bible teaches that sexual sin- particularly adultery- is harmful. Christians see what a mess the world is in. People doing whatever they feel like, no right and wrong....and a downhill slide of society results. Keep it up and watch things get worse. Don't blame Christians and make them out to be spoil sports and party poopers...there is a right and wrong way to live. And most people know that. Sex within a loving, committed, monogammus relationship is the ideal and will produce a stable society in which children can be safe and secure. Don't make Christians the scapegoat when everywhere people reject good sense and want to do anything they feel like. See what happiness that brings.

Because speaking about Christianity (which is in the first place a spiritual relationship with God) sex is a sin different than most of the others, since it gives pleasure (at least people think so) and it raises the power (value) of Flesh in a person. So it is a real severe sin since it could ruin anyone's spiritual life (it increase the power of flesh in him and in the meanwhile is decieving due to the pleasure bound with the action). Meanwhile, sex isn't a problem in christianity, it's actualy one of the functions of sexualy reproducing living organisms, it's only if it's before marriage that's it is considered a sin, but elsewise it's real important in marriage. e.g: Dr. Phill who is a devoted christian talks a lot about sex, it just need to be in the right time with the right person, or else it is a real dangerous sin. Moreover, although there is no superiour sin in Christian life to the other, I mean, God will judge all sin as sin whatever it actually is, but it's us who make a big deal of premarragial sex, cause it's one of the most immoral actions that people don't take that serious; e.g: Muslims as well make a big deal of sex so as most of the older and oriental cultures. Another big reason why we(christians) get real serious about sex is the new teaching that Jesus Christ gave us which is if a man even looked at a woman with lust it makes him an adulter as he commited addultry towards her in his heart so that makes the physicall action of sex itslef a pretty big thing.
So to finalise, sex isn't wrong as long as you're married to that person and you're of the opposite sex, then it's considered a sin and a pretty serious one.

Well, it needs to be said that not all the Christians are like that; however, those who are bigots, believe they're above everyone, as they think they know the absolute Truth (as they call it) which (according to them) gives them the right to judge, rebuke and disrespect people with different views; they consider sex (had by others;)dirty, they hide behind their phoney moral principles, and they don't understand that making love is a sublime experience. Bad for them;) Peace.

1. We certainly do not hate sex! After all, OUR Lord God created it for our pleasure in marriage.
2. We do not obsess over "who's doing who" my friend, but we stand for truth, because the truth will set people free.
3. We do not interfere with other's lives, we are obligated to tell the truth though. This may sometimes be perceived as "interfering".
Jesus loves you more than anyone will ever love you my friend.

You have a right to get and spread Herpes
You have a right to get and spread "crabs"
You have a right to get and spread HIV
You have a right to make babies and then desert them and the one who bore them
You have a right to use women
You have a right to gratification without conscience
You have a right to dehumanize
She has a right to take you to the cleaners if the condom breaks
Ain't it nice to have rights!
Hope you never develop an allergy to Pennicilin or the Pen they give you doesn't feed the little germs and make them multiply faster, like it's been doing in some people.

Since when do Christians 'hate' sex?
Since when is it the Christians that obsess over who's doing who?
Since when is it the Christians that are bigots and greed mongers?
And since when is sex associated with Christians interfering in non-Christians lives?
Do you have any real facts to substantiate your claims?
Do you have a specific denomination to attack or are you attacking all Christians with your line of questioning?

I am not christian, my religion is Wicca, so my beleif on the subject is as long it harms no one and is between consenting adults of legal age, then it is no one's buisness who does who.
The bible condemns sex outside the marriage. The bible calls this sin. The problem as I see it is not that the bible defines sin, but that Christians somehow read into the bible that they need to control the actions and beleifs of others. thus they force their will on us, thinking it is God's will.
They need to wake up and see that the bible is written to those who beleive it and then search out those who will believe it. If we do not beleive the bible, it does not matter what it does or does not say. Jesus did not go around making himself a pain in the neck to those who did not want to hear. Christians need to start following Jesus example and speak to those who WANT to hear and will believe.
Jesus did not protest and tell his followers to gripe and complain about the Roman government because it accepted homosexuality and to condemn those homosexuals in high offices.
Jesus stayed out of those affairs and preached to those who wanted to hear what he had to say. People went to Jesus, he did not go to them.

Is that why they became the largest religion in the world? Please don't say Islam is bigger because that would not be true. Islam would have to gain almost another billion members to compare to Christianity. That's why the president of Iran, I'minajihad, instructed his people to have alot of sex, to propigate the faith.
