I slept for an hour and woke up having a nasty nightmare. It has been 4 hours and I still cannot get to sleep. Do you have the same problem?

I go through peroids of not being able to sleep, then not being able to get enough sleep. I feel for you! Try like taking something over the counter. I wouldn't rush of to the doctor for meds or anything unless it gets severe. Sleeping pills are very addicting and should be used as a last resort!

I've been having the same problem for the last week, every night. what works is to get your mind off the nightmare, by watching tv or reading a book or doing some work.. It helps put your mind at ease and you'll eventually tire out again.
Good luck :o)

NO, get into a routine before you go to bed and avoid media and electronic stuff. That will help you rest adequately before bed.
