can you furnish the break up details of your lipids. I mean LDL, HDL, VLDL, Tryglycerides?

Well, you have to say yes to work out. That will support to decrease in LDL.

Having Oats bran is a proven method to decrease the LDL and increase in HDL too.

Eat lot of vegetables, especially borcoli, leafy vegetables and all.

start eating boiled vegetables infact say no to oil, butter and ghee drink soup ,eat fresh fruits and drink lot of water and juice and the most imp. thing walk atleast 2 to 3 kms per day and little more rest then usual.thats it.and ofcourse if doc has prescribed medicine take that regularly. and smile...

Avoid hydrogenated oils and fats. If you have to use oil, avoid refined oils if possible - use regional and traditional, virgin, cold pressed oils. (If you're from the Mediterranean use olive oil, from Bengal use Mustard oil, from Kerala coconut oil or sesame oil). Do not eat deep fried food.
Eat more fiber, vegetables and fruits.
Use only whole (brown/red) rice and whole wheat.
Walk and/or jog and/or practice yoga regularly.

Watch what you eat, give up the salt, and exercise. I would also take some type of vitamin everyday.
