When I was really sick a while back and losing weight because I couldn't eat enough, I was "medically anorexic" - a scary word! So, you do sound awfully thin, and if there's some problem where that's making you not be able to eat enough, then yes, you would be anorexic.

Anorexia nervosa, though - where people keep themselves from eating over axniety about their weight - is a different can of worms. To have this very sad and troubling disorder, all you need is severe limiting of food intake and severe anxiety over gaining weight. So technically you don't even have to be skinny!

Please, if you're worried about anorexia, go in and talk to a counselor! Even if you're not sure - it's such a scary disorder; please take care of yourself! Best wishes -

The definition would be at the discretion of a doctor and what sort of habits you have. Anorexia is a condition characterized by low body weight AND distorted body image with unhealthy weight-loss behavior.

If youre just skinny as hell, youre just underweight. If you just dont get any nourishment, then youre just malnourished.

However if youre either of the above voluntarily through starvation, over-exercising, vomiting, diet pills etc, then you're anorexic. It's a mental thing.

If you've got any concerns about your weight, try consulting a nutritionist or doctor. If you aren't actually trying to make yourself thinner, be sure to emphasize that so nobody labels you anorexic.

It's not really about weight per se. You are severely underweight but not necessarily anorexic. More important signs are obsessive exercise, calorie and fat gram counting, starvation and restriction of food, self-induced vomiting, the use of diet pills, laxatives or diuretics to attempt controlling weight, and a persistent concern with body image.
