A while ago I suggested that Christians need to campaign to have a law added that would make remarriage after divorce illegal. The only exception would be if the divorce was because of "fornication". This is supported by Matt 19:4-6 and 1Corinthians 7:10-11.

Now to allow this kind of remarriage to continue is giving special rights to a divorced person.

You should have seen how many were not too happy with the thought of a law like this one.

I say, if we allow divorced people to remarry, pretty soon they will be wanting to marry 4 wives, or 4 husbands, Polygamy is next. Or bestiality. They may want to marry a talking donkey.

Those are the exact same arguments that I see against gay marriage. They will campaign against gay marriage and claim that gays want "special" rights. They claim that allowing gay marriage will then lead to polygamy and bestiality. One genius even compared gay marriage to child abuse.

Is all sin equal?

I enjoyed your argument, and *do* think that if people want to push the "heterosexual marriage is *sacred*" argument, they need to outlaw divorce before they outlaw gay marriage.

However, since that's not exactly what you asked: I don't think all sin is equal. I think sinning against another person is worse than sinning against yourself, for example--it's worse to hit someone with your car than to wreck your car and hurt yourself. I often dismiss someone else's sin as, "Hey, if you want to give yourself alcohol poisoning, that's your problem." If they slipped booze into someone else's drink, however, I'd be furious.

Actually, this *does* apply to gay marriage. Disallowing gays to marry is a sin against another person and thus, by my calculation, worse. Interesting how so many people are concerned about the other group's supposed "sins," and not enough about their own? Hmm....

No any sin does not deliver you to hell that's what's being pronounced right here. Any sin yet blasphemy of the Holy Spirit may well be forgiven as long as you ask for the forgiveness additionally what you will possibly desire to understand is as quickly as we recite the Lord's Prayer we make an apology as we forgive people who've sinned against us. So we to might desire to study to forgive others. the ten commandments are a stable place to start to evaluate what sins are worse than others the 1st 3 are approximately God the subsequent seven are how we are to tackle one yet another. in case you have not been baptized then once you're baptized the sins you have devoted would be forgiven sparkling slate.

Marriage as ordained by God, should be between a male and female.

There is not other kind of marriage. Marriage is for the purpose of producing good and healthy children, who would not trouble the world.

Apart from the above idea, if anyone acts against the principle laid down by God, they will suffer for their own acts. Even if it appears that they are momentarily enjoying, all their so called enjoyment will be finished.

Such Godless people create trouble in the world!!!

all sins being equal is the company line and often used to equate homosexuality to murder--they just don't like it when you apply the same rule to the sins they themselves have committed and even enjoy

Sin is the absence of God - all sin is apart from God, therefore all sin is the same.

2Ch 33:19 His prayer also, and [how God] was intreated of him, and all his sin, and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they [are] written among the sayings of the seers
