I'm talking about a border jumper(illegal alien) that comes to America and has a child. That child should not be an American citizen since the parents are illegal aliens and entered the country illegally to begin with! It also wastes tax payers money to deliver the lil bastard!

The principle of "jus soli" or citizenship by birth in USA must not apply to those born with illegal parents because the citizenship is being circumvented to benefit the child thereby jeopardizing the government coffers because welfare funds are being wasted.

NO! Born on US soil make the child a citizen! However tighter border patrols and no one over 6 months pregnant is allowed in not even for a visit! Let's make the borders a total police state!~!!!!!
For those already born on us soil then they can go back with their parents until the reach the age of 18. When the can come Back legally to the United States of America!
Unless the parents insist the child stay! There are plenty of childless people who would be more then happy to raise the baby as their own.
But the parents still go back!

1866. Capitol Hill. 39th Congres (as recorded ver batim in the Congressional Globe)

Author of the fourteenth amendment's citizenship clause, Jacob M. Howard:

“This amendment which I have offered is simply declaratory of... the law of the land already, that every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. --->THIS WILL NOT, OF COURSE, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, ALIENS, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.”

Without exception, every member of that congress who spoke on the clause made clear it was only to apply to children born of citizens and not to aliens.

Were these ppl "bad" Americans? Were they "racist"? They wrote and ratified this amendment to ensure citizenship to the millions of slaves freed by the civil war a year earlier.

Today's no-questions-asked 'citizenship by birth' concept came about asthe result of a supreme court (charged with jealousy over the power of the legislative branch) interpretation of the amendment. Per the above quotes, it is clearly a MIS-interpretation.

And I must include Tom Andres' morsel of wisdome:

"a policy that refrains from bestowing citizenship on the children of illegals would no more be ''blaming'' or ''punishing'' innocent children than an airline would be blaming or punishing the children of hijackers by not awarding them Frequent Flier mileage for that unscheduled flight their parents ordered to Havana."

Yes! I am so sick of them pumping out more and more welfare babies. I wish somebody would pay me to have a baby. This law is so f*****g stupid!

I think the child should be told that they cannot stay here with their parents because they are not legal, and then when they try to come back in 18 years we should tell them that their citizenship expired.

To jeff V:

it's simply irrational and irrelevant to compare what happened to the Jews and what people are angry about with the illegal aliens.

The Mexican government WANTS their people to come here and milk our country high and dry because they simply are too corrupt to take care of their own citizens.
ANTI-ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION PEOPLE ARE NOT SAYING TO KILL THE ILLEGALS, WE ARE SAYING IF YOU WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE WEALTH AND ABUNDANCE AND FREEDOM OF THIS COUNTRY, COME AND JOIN US LEGALLY AND STOP TRYING TO TUNR THIS COUNTRY INTO THE SAME FREAKING MESS WHERE YOU CAME FROM BECAUSE ONCE THIS PLACE IS RUINED, YOU HAVE NO WHERE ELSE TO GO.

I would point out to all responding to this question that this nation was built on the labor of those coming from other countries, one of whom was my great grandfather, who left Norway in the year 1900. He spent most of his remaining years working on the railroads for less than $30 a month.
And so what if refugees come to this nation seeking a better life? Who are you people to deny them that? One such person who came to this country seeking a better life was my mother, who was the only member of her family to escape from Nazi Germany while the rest of them died at Auschwitz-Birkenau. And even to get her out, her father had to sign a statement that she was an orphan, and had been born a catholic. I guess you people would have preferred that she had gone to Auschwit with her family. Why? Because the United States government had closed our borders to any persons of Jewish birth. Read a book called,
"While six million died." It summarized exactly your kind of attitude, except there it was the policy of the Roosevelt administration in the WWII era. I think you people need to get off your high horses and recognize the contribution that these immigrants to the US make, because believe me, we would be a much poorer nation without them.
