I was visiting my gf of 5 yrs this week and I noticed she left her email open so I peaked into her sent emails. I know this was wrong, but this was the message I found. It was from her to some guy named Greg on Dec 10th.

" Hey there...fun night? we're not doing too good at this huh....

I do appreciate the shout out....I;m assuming you either 1) never got my email or 2) were feeling pretty lucky. Its cool, if you're trying to get me killed I guess :). Actually, since I never heard from you I turned my phone off last night-I would have enjoyed late night drunk Greg!.....if I;d been alone.

Actually feeling guilty again tofay though - sorry I am weak. More that I hit on this off-the-market guy on a daily basis.

Good luck studying. And tonight - yes I'm alone if your phone works"

Ok I confronted her and she said he is a friend who lives out of town who she got flirty with. She said it got too intense and she ended the friendship. She said nothing physical happened???

Sorry to hear about this. Well, whether your girlfriend is cheating or not, it depends on you. Some guys will call this cheating, and some will think it's just normal. If you trust her, believe what she says and try not to think about it. (And since you have been together for 5 years, I don't see why you shouldn't trust her.) You can watch and see whether there are anymore news from Greg or if the communication between is still going on. If you are uncomfortable with the whole thing, that it actually started in the first place, you could talk it out with your girlfriend and tell her how you feel. Discussing things like this are healthy for the relationship. However, once you have talked it out, close that chapter in your relationship and move on. Talking and thinking about it won't do good to your relationship. Trust her word on this. And see if there is anything that makes you think otherwise. Hope it works out and good luck!

For your info i think she cheating on you. But there is a way to check it out. Firstly monitor her movement when your are not around. If you are not meeting her on that day try to follow her and watch her behaviour.

I know it was not a proper thing to do. but this is only the way for you to find out the truth btw no harm trying. good luck

Well you just really have to think to yourself. Is she the type that would do something like that to you. Would she have any reason to? How much does she love you? Honestly things like that can be scary, but more that, do you trust her. If it worries you to much then you either have to options. Come clean to her, tell her how it scared you that you saw something like that from another guy, or leave her. I'm sure you'll figure it out. but if all comes to worse, just think, She is just one girl

i can't say for sure that she is in fact cheating, but it sure does sound suspicious. i'd be on guard if i were you, it sounds like she has had more than one or two conversations with this guy, and if she says she ended it, okay, she shouldn't be getting anymore email from him, or nor should she be sending him any. if they continue to communicate behind your back, dump her. you don't HAVE to be with a cheater. be careful and good luck.
