Ev, I have heard this so many times from guys your age and younger on Yahoo Answers, so you are not alone in your laments. Many of these young men are now seeking companionship with a slightly older and more mature lady, and to be honest, I don't blame them. At first I thought they were all a bit odd, or desperate, but having seen the way some young women behave and express themselves, it now makes a lot more sense to me.
I do have sympathy for your plight, and I can understand where you are coming from. I'm very disappointed that young men and boys have been forced to become so cynical about women at such a young age.

I don't have that problem. I think you're looking at celebrities and a few other women and deciding they're all a certain way (stereotyping). Those women represented don't always put their best foot forward, but the women I meet on a daily basis are very intelligent, classy and strong. You might be looking in the wrong places. Are you going to bars and places like that to meet them? To find a nice person then you need to be a nice person. Try libraries, book stores, coffee shops, etc. Not to lecture, but what you have written comes across as misogynistic and not extraordinarily intelligent. You're still young and can't possibly have developed a great sense of discernment yet... especially in light of your comments. I'm sure I'll get a thumbs down, but I'm only being honest and do want to help you. Take some more time to grow up before judging women so harshly. That's the only way to meet a nice one.

I have a suggestion perhaps you could meet some women that are going to school as well, at least then the maturity level would be around the same as you, because they are educating themselves trying to make it in this world, trying to find careers that would interest them. What are your interests outside of College/University/Trades Education? What do you like to do in your spare time? Perhaps you can meet some women that way, that are around your age. I am glad that you feel you are maturing and bettering yourself as a person. I am 34 and out of your age range. I definitely don't want to be Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan...I am me, myself and I. I am older yes, but I am not old. You feel as young as you feel. I was a very mature 21 year old too. It was a beginning of a 10 year relationship with my ex. I had my own place, I was always working or going to school at that age. I care about myself, in a positive way. I care about my child as well. I am not hung up on myself, thinking the world revolves around me. I have responsibilities, and I have had responsibilities since I moved out on my own when I turned 18. There are women out there for you. You will find someone that shares your common interests. Good luck to you.

I'm a bit older than you, but I have many, many male cousins your age. I feel bad for them given the quality of women I see available. They also complain that they are having trouble finding women that they can be proud to bring to family gatherings.
Its not just you, the fallacy of the modern women is actually an excuse to be promiscuous, disrespectful and to dress and act inappropriately.
Good luck to you. There are also many great women out there, make sure they are respectful to their family, have a good relationship with their father and value tradition.

General speaking its the other way round world wide. The more men get older and older the more they gain respect for women. That is because women, particularly the older generation, are generally behaving more responsibly than their younger generation, and women in general behave more responsibly then men. However, your observation is generally true in the so-called developed world and particularly in the west. There, women in general, young and old, behave more irrispoinsibly than their counterpart in other parts of the world. Thats why, as you have acutely observed, men and many women lose more and more respect for women as they get older.

many women act this way because they were raised in a society that taught them that they dont matter. that no matter how smart you are, no one will pay attention to you unless you're good looking, with your breasts hanging out, and ready to have sex with any guy who comes along. lots of the time, the only way women can get attention is acting like a whore. it's society, it's not just "bimbos". maybe you should take that into consideration. there are LOTS of smart and amazing women out there.

You must be one of several 21 year olds I have run into recently who are intelligent, smart and a joy to talk to. While I am 34 years your senior, I am fascinated at your insight and your observations. Your "breed" is rare but a pleasure to find.
