she is horrible. a 6 month old siamese. she jumps on the table while you are trying to eat. in front of your face while your watching tv. runs outside when you open the door (we live in an apartment complex and it takes no less than ten minutes to chase her down), she beats up my other cat, she beats up strange dogs (starting fights), she beats up people while sleeping, watching tv, trying to eat, trying to watch tv, trying to play with her. she eats her food and ther other cats, she gets into the toilet paper, the tub and sink (and walks around the house leaving footprints). she won't let you be 2 feet away from her at any point in time. i don't even want to get into how hard it was to wrap christmas gifts. i feel like i have a child or a large dog in a small house. my older cat was NEVER this bad! funny thing is i love her to death and i miss her when i'm away.

Say "no" and discontinue petting your cat if it becomes aggressive. Avoid roughhouse play with it. Reward her with treats and affection for good behavior.Keep her indoors if fights occur at night with neighborhood cats. Provide your cats with separate spaces if fights occur between them.

Punishment must occur within three seconds (maximum) of the action occurring or else it will have absolutely no effect.
Punishment must also happen around the clock, meaning every single time the behavior occurs – whether you are home or not, asleep or not, paying attention or not.The punishment must be consistent in its effect so that the possibility for abuse is nullified.
Punishment in itself is not the answer. There must be a positive alternative for the cat, or else a sense of frustration will develop, and the behavior one seeks to eradicate will be redirected elsewhere in the living environment.

Buy a Tattle Tale Alarm. It is a small, battery-operated device that you place on the counter. It is motion sensitive, and when activated, lets out a sound that will scare the cat off the counter. It then resets itself. There are many other such devices that use heat and motion detectors, for example, like Scraminal, which can prevent a cat from entering an entire room if you want.
You can even use double-sided sticky tape, or an upside-down vinyl carpet runner. You can use anything that will consistently send the message that "this is not a friendly place to be!"

Ha ha... I'll tell you what the answer at an IQ test I did to my cat was: your cat is clever, evil and manipulative; a normal cat, that is.
The same applies to your cat. She is also getting through the naughtiest age. After 1-2 years old she will calm down. But you could already show her what is wrong, by saying NO and putting her to the place where she should play when she does something naughty!
