I want to re-create my favorite treat, Godiva chocolate chai. Closer examination of the ingredients reveals it's Godiva milk chocolate cocoa with instant black tea and spices. Now I just need the instant black tea! I don't want to do a big chemistry experiment boiling black tea down to its essence and drying and powdering it, but wonder if I can finely grind black tea leaves? Matcha tea is green tea leaves finely ground, and I like that. Thanks!

Heres the easiest practical way..for one cup boil water ,pour it in the cup, take two tea-bags and put them in the cup, reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds and you have the best flavour of black tea, might not seem too great an idea to you but theres no harm in trying cause its very easy. You have nothing to lose except 2 tea bags!
Happy New Year!

Tai Chi Green Tea is my favorite. I do use equal but not a whole lot. Jasmine tea is good too. I drink pure Hawaiian Kona coffee at work. That stuff is soooo good. I add equal to that and sugar free vanilla coffee creamer. If I'm out and about or at a restaurant I always get unsweetened tea. If they have Equal or Splenda, I'll use either one. But if neither one is available, I'll drink my tea w/o it. Before I go to bed I do have a hot cuppa tea, of which I use a chamomile tea bag.

Do you have the spice with you? Anyway, like the other answer, it won't work the same. I suggest you buy some flavored tea rather making it yourself.

No, it won't work the same, just brew real tea (not tea bags) with the other ingredients listed on the box.
