I don't know if she is going to be honored, but her behaviour during the Vietnam war was questionable. If she didn't give aid and comfort to the enemy, then what did she do? However I doubt that the SSN thing is factual. What would the Vietnamese do with the SSN numbers? Try to cash the POW's checks?

Apparently it is true that Jane Fonda was honored by Barbara Walters in her special on ABC by being one of the top 100 most influential women of the century on April 30, 1999. For other details see snopes also. She was a piece of work alright.

well, yeah, she did so vehemently protest the war in Vietnam that she did in fact 'befriend' the north. i saw a picture of her once riding one of the northern Vietnamese weapons (fully dressed but sitting on it as if it was a horse) and interacting with them as friends and apologizing for the U.S.'s actions at the time. It truly was a shameful action...I would certainly not vote her as one of the greatest American women.
you know....that sounds like an old email i got once...

she is a traitor to this country and it wouldnt suprise me on what she did during vietnam wat, if she is being honored its because of her clout and people want that to be put behind. i say she needs to be exiled or treated like vietnam american prisoners were treated
