I watched "The Wicker Man" last night (the 2006 version with Nicholas Cage). In your opinion, does this movie depict Paganism, and if so, is it an accurate portrayal? Explanations for answers would be much appreciated. Thank you :-)

I was referring more to the costumes and rites than anything else.

No. The script was vaguely inspired by such things, but they played fast and loose with the facts.

BTW: The burning wicker man as punishment or sacrifice was a thing the Romans did to the Pagans. Not the other way around.

It is as accurate as the DaVinci code. Both are fictional works. Although at one point Celts were reported to read the future in the charred remains of criminals or prisoners of war.

lol, an island populated by flighty, flakey women who burn men who have fathered their children alive? yeah, thats definitely an accurate description of paganism. its the christians who are known for burning people alive, not the pagans.

No, they don't sacrifice people or animals. They do not harm people. I would be more concerned about the Salem Witch Trials.
