Yes. Touching somebody's body parts without their permission is harassment. I believe it can also be considered assault in some cases. You should never do anything like that. It's disrespectful.

It depends on the timing, circumstances and statements made during the touching. I mean, friends do things that are demeaning and ruthless all the time, it isn't considered harassment or sexual assault. You really need to be careful in this day and age what you say and do, as people can smile and chuckle one minute and give you a smack in the teeth or be at your door with the police the next. Just try and be fun without being nasty or unpleasant; and if you want to give somebody a zinger or hotfoot, make sure you have a pretty good idea of how the will react BEFORE you perform the deed. Better safe than sorry, I'm afraid...

At one time sexual harassment meant that you couldn't use a position of authority to exploit sexual favors. Like "hey if you want this raise, blow me". For example, what Clinton did is actually sexual harassment whether Monica was complicit or not. It doesn't matter, he abused authority. Since then though, perhaps unfortunately, the law got reworded to "unwanted" sexual contact. That's a murky area and could be interpreted that way. Personal experience, I've gotten away with some ****. I'm socially awkward, I think, but I am attractive. I've often heard it said that ugly guys with game can "get away with sh**" but I've honestly never seen it. Ugly is a hard concept to quantify, but I know it when I see it. Often guys who are not models claim to be ugly, mostly out of modesty. I'm not sure they quite qualify as that though. Magazine hot and reality hot are two different things. Some people don't photograph well, but are still attractive.

Depends on which country you are in.....there are different jurisdiction in different countries and states. In some parts, it's vice versa...touching a man's chest can be considered as sexual harrassment not only touching a woman. In the U.S, it is so common - lawyers really make a lot of money!! Silly ain't it? In some countries, the men wouldn't report it are cared at all...... By the way, I'm not a lawyer....my dad is.....

Why should you go touching guys chest or any other part of their body if you are not involved. You don't have to be a lawyer or a profession to know that's wrong. Keep those hands to yourself you might end up being hurt.
Be responsible

Yes it is depending on the person...Sexual harassment can be just winking at another co worker..If they feel uncomfortable and it effects their work and the way that they perform, then yes it is...You could grab one man's chest everyday that does not care and another man could see this everyday and report it b/c he feels obligated to behave in this manner to be promoted or noticed in the company...Sexual harassment is so vague that it is best not to act as you would in your personal life..Keep your personal life and work separate that is the only way to win this battle..

It's sexual harrassment if it makes him sexually uncomfortable and if you don't stop when he asks you.
If you're in the workplace or at school, that kind of personal contact is unprofessional and unacceptable. You wouldn't want the guys patting your behind, and you should extend the same respect to them.

Come to think of it, I have been sexually harassed without ever realizing it. Too late now to lodge a complaint though, a pity.
