some religions are saying that the original contents of the bible were changed. is it true or not and how can we be sure about our proof? is there a community that deals with this argument or is there a community who has what Christians need in order to stand with absolute confidence in their faith?

To prove if the Bible is true, we don't need to look far. Hundreds of books with historical, scientific, and archeological data have supported the Bible's credibility. The studies for these truths are called apologetics.

Most people today, unfortunately, have not even read the Bible. As a result, many people tend to go along with the increasing delusion that the Bible is full of mistakes and no longer relevant to present times. Their searches have been from a surging atheistic desire to disprove the Bible.

Instead, thousands of investigative findings have led to confirmation of the exact details stated in the Bible. Historical, archeological, and scientific evidences alike have reinforced proof of Bible truths. Confirmations have been almost innumerable, particularly in this last century (i.e. the Dead Sea Scrolls, Red Sea Crossing site, etc).

"No archeological discovery has ever controverted a Biblical reference. Scores of archeological findings have been made which confirm in clear outline or in exact detail historical statements in the Bible. And, by the same token, proper evaluation of Biblical descriptions has often led to amazing discoveries."

The Word of God was penned by inspiration from the Creator long before scientists stamped their approval on experimental findings. But mankind tends to look at things from a skeptical or scientific, secular perspective when the facts have been in the Bible all along. A few examples of this include:

The Earth is round, not flat as once believed (Isaiah 40:22).
Atmospheric circulation (Ecclesiastes 1:6).
Field of Gravity (Job 26:7).
Biological importance of blood to life (Leviticus 17:11).
In addition, there are statements consistent with Paleontology. For instance, several books in the Bible refer to dinosaurs. Job 40:15 and 41:1 speak of two such creatures. And there are numerous verses referring to dragons. Yet mistakenly, some have thought dinosaurs and men did not exist at the same time.

An undisputable proof is the overwhelming 100% accuracy of Biblical prophecy. There are thousands of fulfilled prophecies including about the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. For example, one of the many Old Testament Messianic prophecies fulfilled by Jesus can be read in Isaiah 53. It describes the life of Jesus Christ 700 years before it happened! Keep in mind that all of the Holy Bible is God inspired and is His revelation of all truths!

Without reading the Bible, it is difficult to determine its truths. Spend time reading the Bible on a regular basis and search out for yourself what the Lord has already told us; it is rich with His loving design, wisdom, and sovereign power.

What do you say now?

The only real way is to learn Greek, which I did last year. The Bible has not been altered, edited, or changed. The Greek is very close to the English although the KJV is among the worst translations, and not because of the "thee and thou" parts but because some words were simply translated poorly, but a large part to that is because there were not so many ancient manuscripts discovered at that time, now we have the benefit of manuscripts dating to up to 90AD.

People claim that the Catholic Church changed a lot of the scripture, but that is baseless because many of the existing manuscripts come from the second century before Christianity had any influence in the government.

If you have any questions about a passage you want translated, sent me a message. I'm always up for a challenge. Hopefully you don't send something from Paul's writings though (but you can), he wrote like PhD level Greek. The Gospels are like elementary school Greek, especially the epistles of John and the gospel of John. Those are pretty easy to translate.

Also, to people who claim the Bible was "edited", well the same kind of people tend to point out "contradictions" in the Bible, and IF the Bible was edited then any of those supposed contradictions would have been edited out. But there are enough discrepancies to show that several people, who did not "plan" together what to write, authored the New Testament, yet they agree on so many points that in a courtroom the Bible would be declared authentic.

I already question the accuracy of the Bible, as when I study the original languages, the English versions often don't capture the true message behind the passage in question. It stands to reason that human beings will insert their own doctrines in translation and that mistakes will be made. There is also the issue of Holy texts that have been found since the canonization of the Bible, which most Abrahamic religions refuse to read, and, sometimes, even acknowledge. An example of this is the Nag Hammadi Library, which includes the Gospels of Mary and Thomas and much more. As to the the Bible being Divinely inspired, I believe it is, but it is not the only Holy Book that is. Wisdom can be found in many places. Finally, to answer your question fully: Some of these Holy Books should be taken in context of the time of the writings. For example, when Paul says in his epistle that a woman should be silent in church, he is telling the women to follow Jewish temple law, and it should not be taken as an excuse for misogamism, or a refusal to allow women to preach. However, some Christian denominations and Muslims take this to be doctrine for all time, instead of viewing it as a letter preserved by God for historical reasons. I'm not sure if I've satisfied you fully with this answer. If not, please say so in the details section, and tell me what else you want to ask me.

You can't verify the authenticity of the Bible. You can only compare manuscripts. The originals have long since crumbled into dust.

One school of thought bases its translations on a couple of compilations dating from the 10th Century or later, the Mazoretic Text for the Hebrew, the Textus Receptus for the Greek. Another goes by a compilation from 5th Century manuscripts. The Receptus group defends its choice because there are many more 10th Century copies than 5th Century copies. The 5th Century group believes the older manuscripts are better. The Dead Sea Scrolls give us a 1st Century copy of the Hebrew Bible, at least according to one sect.

Only by comparing passages and sources and making educated guesses about what may have been added, removed or changed can we determine what the original might have been. That's as sure as it gets. And this doesn't even address the veracity of the content. There simply isn't enough historical documentation to make a convincing case. For that, only faith will work.

Yes the bible has been adulterated in many ways Items added , taken away misrepresented translations. Straight up errors etc. As for the question about a community... hmmm do you have a desire to follow anything or anyone? Also the absolute confidence in faith makes no sense it is a classic oxymoron. The faith part only exists itself when you believe with absence of absolute confidence or proof.

Proving the authenticity of the Bible isn't anything new. This has been a subject of controversy ever since the Bible was printed.
How can you prove it?

Beats me. There are all kinds of flaws in the Bible and pointing them out certainly doesn't lend to credibility. Keep in mind that the Bible was translated several times by several people and whatever the original meaning was is what is in dispute today.

Jesus used the OT when he was at nazareth/galilee in the synagogue.

Using the book of Isaiah, He said the prophesy came through in Him.

So, that settles it. Since Jesus Himself did not comment and say that the OT was corrupted. As for the NT, you can always check the original Hebrew texts yourselves to verify its contents. The dead sea scrolls also prove that the bible is intact. Perhaps some minor errors in numerical numbers or in-apt translations, but in essence SUFFICIENT FOR A CHRISTIAN'S SALVATION.

Unfortunately, Jesus Son of Mary spoke Aramaic, and there are no records of his sayings in the original language.

However God has given us the Qu'ran, if you read it I am sure you would be surprised. In the Qu'ran there is a challenge proving the authenticity of the Qu'ran.

[010:034] Say: "Is there of your (God's so-called) partners one that originates the creation and then repeats it?" Say: "God originates the creation and then He repeats it. Then how are you deluded away (from the truth)?"

[010:035] Say: "Is there of your (God's so-called) partners one that guides to the truth?" Say: "It is God Who guides to the truth. Is then He Who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? Then, what is the matter with you? How judge you?"

[010:036] And most of them follow nothing but conjecture. Certainly, conjecture can be of no avail against the truth. Surely, God is All-Knower of what they do.

[010:037] And this Qur'ân is not such as could ever be produced by other than God (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the Revelation) which was before it [i.e. the Taurât (Torah), and the Injîl (Gospel)], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. the laws decreed for mankind) – wherein there is no doubt – from the Lord of the 'Âlamîn (mankind, jinn, and all that exists).

[010:038] Or do they say: "He (Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him]) has forged it?" Say: "Bring then a Sûrah (chapter) like it, and call upon whomsoever you can besides God, if you are truthful!"

[010:039] Nay, they have denied the knowledge whereof they could not comprehend and what has not yet been fulfilled (i.e. their punishment). Thus those before them did deny. Then see what was the end of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers)!

[010:040] And of them there are some who believe therein; and of them there are some who believe not therein, and your Lord is the Best Knower of the Mufsidûn (evildoers and liars).

[010:041] And if they deny you, say: "For me are my deeds and for you are your deeds! You are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what you do!"

[010:042] And among them are some who listen to you, but can you make the deaf to hear – even though they apprehend not?

(V.10:37) Narrated Abu Hurairah [May God be Pleased with Him]: The Prophet [Peace Be Upon Him] said, "There was no Prophet among the Prophets but was given miracles because of which people had security or had belief, but what I have been given is the Divine Revelation which God has revealed to me. So I hope that my followers will be more than those of any other Prophet on the Day of Resurrection." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 9/7274 (O.P.379)]

Isn't it a kind of idolatry to be so concerned with the "authenticity" of the Bible? Which is more important to you, a book or the Holy Spirit itself? Scholars will always debate Bible linguistics and history-it doesn't really matter.

God didn't give it to you in English to the KJV is not authentic, it's just a translation. The Catholics have 7 more books than the Protestants, so who's book is authentic?
