I have only had 5 girlfriends in my life and i'm 16. I'm really not bad looking and have a nice build but it just seems like girls aren't overly attracted to me. I need advice about how to approach a girl and when the right time would be to ask her out. Thank you.

I had all of them between the ages of 12-15. I just turned 16.

I'm 34
I've had 6 Boy Friends in my entire life....so 5 GF's before being able to vote isnt bad at all....
I look a lot like Winona Rider - enough that people ask for my autograph.
So its not a matter of looks.....
But I'm shy - and I'm guessing that like me, you send people unspoken, and unintended signals that you are not available.

You know when you see guys, and you know women are looking at them, and knowing those guys are available? Do what they do - when I do those kinds of things (act like an available person acts), I get a lot more attention from the opposite sex...And dont worry, it takes practice.
Good Luck.
BTW se7en up there has some good advice too....

5 girlfriends by the age of 16? Thats a lot. I'm 19, and I've only had 6 boyfriends! You have plenty of time to date, just chill out and enjoy life for now.

Sometimes for me it seems like girls are finding you and you grow to like them after awhile. You really should go and find a girl you like. I found that to be successful for myself. After you have found the right girl, take things very slowly. Dont rush into a relationship or anything sexual. You need to feel comfortable with that person alone and around people. Take your time and dont feel pressured. Its your decision.

Good Luck :)

Well, maybe you are giving off a bad vibe that makes them think you're a player. You're 16, How far apart were those 5 girlfriends?

there must be something that a girl might have problems coming in terms with.. maybe ur personality? habits?? ur friends? there are a lot of reasons that they might not be overly attracted to u..

u can try being friends with her and getting to know her better first then when sparks fly then start asking her out on a date..

Check out how you are dressed .Do you look neat and clean?
First be just friends, talk ,laugh and you will know if she is interested talk about movies then say I want to see that one and if she says she does also then say "when would you like to go" ?
Best of luck.

Take your time for girls. Approach them by being yourself. Just maybe say hello.

Also, make sure you focus on other things in life.
