One good solution is to pour coca cola over the tiles and leave to soak over night. It works like magic.
If you dont believe then try what most other people like which is;
any good scouring powder but first make a mild solution of bleach and pour over the tiles before splashinf some scouring powder over the tiles.
Then leave the resulting mush a while say 20 mins to saok into the grime on the tiles and then scrub with a hard brush.

Since I'm poor and want to be environmentally friendly and am concerned for my own health, I try to use products that reflect my beliefs.
I first water down the tiles, and then use white vinegar that I pour into a used spray bottle (such as hair spray), and a product called Simple Green that you can find at Walmart. I let it soak for a few minutes, and then scrub with a sponge, and rinse. Works great on water spots!

to clean the actual tiles comet works really well with a little water. If you are wanting to clean the grout in between my secret recipe is baking soda, and a little bleach. You mix them into a thick paste and spread it on the grout. Leave it for about 15 minutes or so and when you wipe it off it looks great.

I use a product called "The Works". That is what it does, it really works. Just spray it on, and no scrubbing, then rinse it off. The cost is $1.00 at walmart. Rust, calcium, lime, etc, disappear with this stuff. They have several different formulas, for different applications. I keep several bottles on my service truck, and show all my customers.
