I have heard many times from many people that breathing deep is really good for you. Every time I try breathing deep, after about 4 minutes of taking continuous big breaths in and out I start to feel this weird tingling sensation over my face, feels like a layer of static electricity. Is that a good thing or a bad thing, because not knowing the truth, I might be doing more harm than good.

Those are signs of hyperventilation--it won't kill you, but you really don't want to do that to yourself.
It is important to develop the habit of breathing deeply, but not quickly. Fill the lungs with air, pause, empty the lungs completely, pause.
That should stop it.

Because your taking in too mcuh oxygen and not enough carbon dioxide(i think its carbon dioxide the doctor said) this happens to me when i have panic attacks. thats why they say breath into a paper bag when you hyperventilate because it like replaces the carbon dioxide. but it will not hurt just dont do it for so long.

Its normal, don't worry about it. Deep breathing can't harm you.

not really....every time u hold ur breath u just get a little stunned and dizzy if u hold ur breath so ur probaly just stunned

ok dont do it for that long! you get tingly from too much oxygen saturation in your blood.
