There are as many definitions for the word religion as there are people living.
Technically, Buddhism is a philosophy, not a religion.
I have no animosity toward a buddhist, since I've never met one.
What Islam is, I leave to a muslim to figure out on their own. Personally I don't think it has the thousand year long "history" that people think it does.
But Islam is not my religion, and none of my business. I used to work with people that were Muslim. No animosity there. No reason for it.
A good friend of mine is an atheist. No animosity there.
As far as "accepting," I don't really have to accept any thing. If someone is trying to sell me a belief system or world-view, that doesn't mean that I have to buy it.
Beliefs are a matter of individual preferences, desires, and hopes.
The only people that should ever be denied the right to the ones they wish to have are violent criminals.
I believe in Jesus, and believe in freedom because I believe in him.

I am very religious, but I don't have animosity towards others no matter what their religion. As a matter of fact, I don't have a problem with anyone that's not hurting/threat to themselves or others. To me that would go against the very teachings of Jesus. I do however feel pity for them. And I do wonder how on earth you can be an Atheist and believe that this is all there is or ever will be unless mankind suddenly learns better. I think its just plain sad. And I do get a little heated when Atheist (or member of another religion) calls a person stupid for their beliefs. But its not because of what they believe. I get angry at their arrogance.

I am a Christian and strongly believe in God and the teachings of the Bible. I don't laugh at other people's views on what religion is. I just feel sorry for them and hope that one day they will be able to find and understand Jesus and invite him into their hearts. I feel no animosity towards those that do not believe in God. I do however, extremely dislike when non-believers bash and disrespect Christians for believing and having faith in the Lord.

I believe the only way to the Father is through the son. I do not believe there is any other way to heaven, and I believe any other "god" than the God of the bible is a false God.
That being said, I recognize the right of each person to decide what to believe. Do I think all roads lead to God? Of course not. A person cannot believe the bible and then turn around and agree that all religious beliefs are valid. That would be contradicting your own beliefs.
Yes, those who say they don't believe in God, I do feel sorry for them. And I don't mean it in a condescending way.

Honestly, my heart BREAKS for those that don't know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Before I was saved, I had NO peace in my heart at all, was constantly searching for answers, and for the last almost 17yrs, He has been my Guide, my constant Companion, my Comforter, My Father who I can cry out to at any hour of the day or night, and I have a calm assurance about Heaven as my eternal home. He's very Tangible, once you trust Him!
HOW I LONG for everyone to know that peace!

I am a Christian.Jesus is the only way to God.My heart hurts for those who are lost and dying. Those who are so blind they can not see the truth.
Jesus paid a great price for them ,yet they spit on him and reject him.
People in this room, curse God and say all manner of evil against Him.
I fear for their souls.
All religions that do not have Jesus as savior is false. But I pray for them.Knowing God loves them and will give them a chance to come to Jesus.<><

After seeing the reactions of the "Palestinians" and the Israeli's even as they'd the replace of over a million,000 Arabs for the abducted Israeli soldier. i imagine the Israeli's will do merely about something for peace, even as i do not have self assurance that the Arabs desire a non violent answer to the topic matters.

"and what about those who do not beleive in god, do you have animosity towards them?pity?"
Pity yes. Because they were indoctrinated to believe in myths which is mental abuse. It's a very sad circumstance.
