the bible is good reading, but filled with errors. it has been written, edited, re-written and re-edited so many times, nobody knows what it was before, and care not.
'the mosaic code is outdated, and no longer relevant in this world.it served a pupose, but has none now.
people should rule the world, not some religious bigots who are no more than hypocrits.

The bible is inspired by Holy Spirit, and all of it is good for learning, teaching, rebuking, etc... But, at the same time, it was transcribed by humans. So, minor errors are possible. Also when reading it you must take into account what was happening at that time, where it is taking place, what language it was written in, etc.. Lastly you have to consider that it is being interpreted by humans. And so, through man the bible can be twisted here and there. But, as i said, scripture is from the Holy Spirit, everything that is important is in there unaffected.
The mosaic code was perfect, but man was not. Becuase of that, the mosaic code was just a death sentence. But through Jesus Christ, the Law and prophets were fufilled and the Law is no longer neccesary. It's still good, but not neccesary, and mostly absolete.
Christians are no better than anyone else, they should not rule the world. However, God decides the leaders of all nations, so if he wills it then a Christian can rule a nation.

Update:
The Mosaic Law was for the Jews, but you have to understand that there are different parts of the law. The moral laws (like the 10 commandments), the cerremonial laws (like tithing), and the cultural laws (like women not being allowed to wear men's clothing). The ceremonial laws and cultural laws are absolete, they serve no purpose to us other than for study. Moral laws, on the other hand, will always be true. This is where the matter of homosexuality falls, and that's why ppl quote scripture from the Old Testament..
Also, The Old Testament is in the bible becuase it is very important. It contains all of the prophecies that were suppose to be met by the messiah, it contains a detailed record of where we came from, even glimpses of where were going.

Jesus had said that he came to fulfill the Law of Moses. He didn't come to do away with it, but to make it alive, living within us all in our hearts.
The Mosaic Code is based on what was revealed by Moses, but by the time Jesus was born it became too cumbersome. Countless priests and rabbis with their countless interpretations added on to the Mosaic Code to the point that they had lost the original intention of the law.
That is why Jesus reiterated the law in the New Testament. An example; it is said thou shalt not commit adultery, but I say unto you, whomsoever shall look upon a woman in lust hath already committed adultery in his heart.
You really should read the Bible sometime...

I believe the message conveyed in the Bible is infallible, but some of the wording, organization, and details could have been better, but for the most part it is poorly translated or misinterpreted (there is a difference)

It is infallible in itself, it was written by two many hands. If you wanted to say something truly important, to say it right without any misinterpretation, the only way to do that would be to say it or write it yourself not leave it up to others to pass on the information for you.

The Bible is infallible, but personal interpretation of it is fallible. That's why it says in the Bible that it's not up to personal interpretation. The only authority to interpret the Bible was given by Jesus to the leadership of His Church which is the bishops in union with the Pope.
