Indians due to their long history of slavery under foreign rule have more loyalty to the King than the King himself. The MEA officials in the Indian embassies do not have the sense of responsibility, rather they have a misconception of ruler over Indians abroad. It is a crisis of role perception. The Ministry should have suitable trainning programmes to change their attitude and perception. They must remember that they are servants and not masters over Indians, whether in India or abroad makes no difference.
