It is very common to do both with the same person! Many people feel this way about God. You must understand Love and Hate are cousins or brothers in same family not opposite, the opposite of Love is indifference not hate. Hate and Love are both strong enotions in good and bad people. If you are indifferent you do not care either way. Yes I am a strong emotion type of person so I am indifferent about very few things. I love it or hate it.

No...strangely enough, it doesn't happen in my life. I don't know what it is with me, but even if someone has done something really, really horrible, I still love that person, even if I'm extremely angry with them. I don't have any enemies. I'm an atheist, and very focused on what effect my actions have on other people, and this doesn't leave room for hatred.

Love and hatred are opposites. I choose love, and reject hatred, I guess. I don't believe that you can really do both.
