You don't.
If she needs to lose weight, she's more aware of it than anyone else in the world. The last thing she needs is you pointing it out to her.
Your job as a friend is to love her no matter what. If you like, you can try and help her by inviting her to do physical activities, such as walk in the evenings or mornings. DO NOT say you are doing it for her, rather tell her you are doing it for yourself, and you would really like someone to do it with you to help you stay motivated. If she isn't interested, then drop it. Similarly, when you two go out to eat, don't suggest junky places, suggest someplace that has healthier food.
Most of all, be a loving and supportive friend. If she tells you she wants you to help her lose weight, then do. If she doesn't mention it, then don't you do it either. Just be as good a friend to her as you can. That's your job.

Kindly ask " What are you eating during this day" " Have thought about going to the gym this year or do some activities? " I do care about you and concerned about your health and I m not sure if your doing the right thing to keep the weight down." Be diplomatic with her...
If thought about being her weight loss buddy and motivate her that would help her too.
Also, you can encourage her and particpate with her to Weight Watcher for free registration and fee may apply depending your locations.

I don't think it is up to you to tell a friend she needs to lose weight. I do feel that your role is to be supportive and help your friend as much as you can. Afterall, you don't want your friend to think you will like her only if she is thin--how shallow that would be.

Believe me, your friend probably knows she needs to lose weight, and doesn't need the added pressure of knowing a friend, who is supposed to be non-judgemental, is.

the only ok reason to tell her would be if her health is in danger. is it? probably not.
otherwise, its none of your business. Im sure she is aware she is overweight. You won't be doing anything for her but hurting her feelings and your friendship.
You need to ask yourself what your motivation is for wanting to tell her. Are you wanting her to feel bad? Are you really thinking she's unaware? Why do you think this is YOUR job?

this is a very touchy subject i know because i have had friends do that to me and it just made me waant to eat more. try asking her to execrcise with you like take walks so you can talk. but coming right out and telling her she needs to lose weight may cost you your friend.

don't tell her--- it will break her heart to know that her friend thinks she's fat fake the whole thing you should be like i just went to the doctor and he say lives are at stake and we should run...or you could say that you guys need more bonding time and say theres nothing better then bonding with a nice walk

I'm sure she knows and is embarrassed to admit it. What I would do is exercise with her. Go on walks etc. Good Luck!
