I remember seeing the movie True Romance once. Supposedly Sicilians are mixed with some North African warlord tribes who invaded that island, enslaved the women and raped them. No wonder Sicily is so corrupt, unlawfull and an immoral place to live.

In truth many nationalities are descended from the last conquerors that blew through their country wreaking destruction. For example there are now on this planet more descendants of the warrior Genghis Khan than any other single male. Why - because when the Khan and his hordes conquered a nation many if not all of the men were killed and all of the women were raped. The Khan of course being the head honcho got his choice of the woman and he was known to be quite a virile - very active man. So let's look at Italy - they have been conquered by Hannibal from Africa and God knows who else. You might take a look in history about great conquerors. Every time a country has been conquered that means that the women got some new lovers. Watch the Tarantino film True Romance - classic scene in it about this idea between Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper.

They might have some Arab blood in them, but it would be extremely low. The Romans, intermarried with a lot of nationalities. Many are not even around anymore. The Italians may have a lot of Middle Easten blood, because they are all in the mediteranian, and there was a lot of exchange going around, but most of the ones that the Italians married were Berbers and Eqyptians. There weren't that many Arabs at that time and the contact was minimal to start with. Saudi Arabia lacked water. I think he made a mistake, because he associates middle Eastern with Arabs. Arabs, became more prominent after the fall of Rome and the Arabs invaded the entire Middle east, which is why we kind of call all those who live in that area, Arabs, even though that is not quite true. When The Muslims showed up, Western world was some what cut off from that area, all though a couple of Italian cities did maintain trading relations.

The Italians are not "Arabs" and neither are the Sicilians. What is true is that there may have been substantial mixing of the Sicilians with North African Moors. The Moors ARE NOT ARABS , THEY ARE BERBERS, THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF NORTH AFRICA.

There is also evidence of Spanish Jews who were forced to convert to Christianity and eventually assimilated within the population.

Considering the darker skin of Italians, it is probable that many Italians have Middle Eastern and North African ancestry. This is also true of many people of Iberia, the Balkan and Cyprus. Many of their traditional customs an dress are also common in Middle Eastern societies.

these civilizations were the earliest civilizations in the world ... we cannot deny that our ancestors were related to one of these .

the earliest known civilizations (as defined in the traditional sense) developed from proto-civilized cultures in Mesopotamia between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in modern-day Iraq, Persia in modern-day Iran, the Indus Valley region of modern-day Pakistan and North India, the Nile valley of Egypt, and the parallel development of Chinese civilizations in the Huang He River (Yellow River) and Yangtze River valleys of China, while smaller civilizations arose in Elam in modern-day Iran, and on the island of Crete in the Aegean Sea, as well as the Olmec civilization and the Caral civilization in modern day Mexico and Peru. The inhabitants of these areas built cities, created writing systems, learned to make pottery and use metals, domesticated animals, and created complex social structures with class systems
