the position to commence... a million) Creationism does not inherently say something about evolution and is not a null hypothesis. this is the literal idea that God created each little thing, not that evolution did not. yet no, that on my own nevertheless would not make it non secular, yet i does not say this is the antithesis. That on my own looks to break your complete idea, yet enable's proceed. 2) Creationism in no way finally ends up contained in the suitable of Christianity. There are Jews and Muslims obtainable that are truthfully lower than the Creationist type. 3) From there till your citation is merely mockery contained in the face of excellent judgment and is not sensible rambling. 4) because the massive Bang idea, abiogenesis, and evolution are really a "similar function" and in no way doctrine that are required to be an atheist, the point right here's null and void. 5) Atheism, lower back, does not have doctrine that declared a liberation and for this reason the point does not characterize it a faith. 6) conserving conventions related to freethinking is unquestionably not a non secular practice and the authors are merely in call should you're atheists--not leaders. This guy you're quoting is RIDICULOUSLY incorrect. 7) As there aren't any leaders of atheism, the moral element is null and void. 8) Atheism is largely not believing in God. It does not have teachings and does not teach that there is no God. It does not teach hostile to afterlife or souls (there are atheists who have self assurance in those) and does not say no faith. element is null and void. 9) Ritual? heavily? Atheism has NO rituals, not even few. Birthdays are literally not of a non secular nature, they're in undemanding words custom and way of existence depending. 10) So some atheists like nature. So what? lower back, no doctrine says we like it to be an atheist and has not something to do with atheism contained in the first position. the guy you quoted seems an fool and also you're a fool for posting this ludicrous idea. enable it stand that one and all of what you printed is null and void and, because it stands, atheism is extra than likely not a faith.

I am afraid I don't know who he is. However, a very intelligent and good friend of mine has decided to be an atheist after a lifetime of religious belief. He has explained how barbaric and cruel the Bible is, it advocates incest, rape and murder, even to your own family. He also says that more killings and unhappiness have come about in the name of religion than any other reason. If he is wrong, and meets God in the afterlife, hopefully God will understand this way of thinking, rather than agree with all the atrocities over the ages performed in His name......My friend says there is a growing list of people beginning to agree, and some very smart and intelligent people in the world, like scientists and philosophers are beginning to agree. :)

I don't think he tries to convert people, he just wrote books on the subjects of evolution and on why he thought religion was garbage. Unlike so-called christians who pound on peoples' doors, demanding they change their beliefs, dawkins simply states facts and opinion.

I suspect that he gets rightfully pissed off with the willfully ignorant creationists though, just likea lot of us who actually listened in science class.

Why do religious people criticize everybody not in their group and try to convert people to their ideas?

Dawkins is a genius. I have yet to read his new book, but have read just about everything else he has written. He has literally changed the way scientist view the world around us. That is not something that can be said about many people alive today.

Richard Dawkins is an eloquent writer and spokesman. I do not second guess his motives because I don't have to. He is sane. Whatever Mr. Dawkins has to say, I would respectfully listen. I would say the same for Sam Harris as well. At least they have the balls to say that the emporer has no clothes.

Mainly in an attempt to help people to make the world a better place; religion has been extremely harmful throughout history. Read his book, "The God Delusion" for a more thorough answer.

He criticizes religion for obvious reasons.

You don't "convert" people to atheism, they find it on their own. Dawkins just happens to be eloquent enough to express many of their views in writing.

Hey, didn't he host the Family Fued back in the 80's?

Because he is responding to those who criticize atheism and try to convert people to religion???

Maybe?

Who's Dawkins?

Because religion is dangerous and atheism is the logical position.

Dawkins is brilliant and very understandable. He is an evolutionary biologists, he grasps concepts most of us will never comprehend, and yet he can reach everyone on their own level.
