I think MA is ahead of our times. The only state to allow gay couples to marry, and the 2nd state in our nation's history to elect a black governor. MA looks past an individual's skin color, and/or sexual preference. Other state's should follow suit.

Probably New York or California. They not only hold the most electoral votes, but are progressive with ideals towards economic disparities in our society. It is only through such progression that we inhibit growth as a nation.

California by far. Los Angeles has 13 million people alone. New York has 18,747,300. Over 2.3 million people in the USA make between $200,000 and $500,000. Brad Pitt makes $1000 in 4 mins. 48 seconds at work as a actor. Howard Stern makes $1000 in 24 seconds at work.

I hate to be ego-centric, but New York is still the country's leader. Even after many businesses left New York City after 911, Wall Street and NASDAQ are still the market leaders in the country and they both still dominate the business world which generates the money that fuels our economy.
Take care,
Troy

Sure isn't Wisconsin. Its consistent policies of trying to take care of everybody and build 4-lane roads when it barely needs 2 has taxed the people to near death. This is running the young talent elsewhere and will slowly ruin this fine state. I hope I'm wrong.

Hawaii,.
Simply because they have the best weather in the nation. Politics be damned, I would move there in a heartbeat if I had the economic means to do so.

Maine. It is the easternmost point so given the rotation of the earth it would lead the rest of the nation into the coming day.

Not the hell hole I live in- Wyoming. I would say California if it were a nation it would have the 8th largest GDP. However their social policy sucks.
