My bf and I have been together for 2 years but we have always been near each other. This fall I went to college which is an hour and a half away and it's been more stressful than ever. Any advice?

I've been with my now fiance for 5 yrs. He lives in Texas and I live in Georgia...we have out fights and yes...lots of doubts...but we hold out and make it throught just like every solid couple...Yes!! I get extremely stressed out, and just want to hold someone or kiss someone...but in my opinion...Distance makes the heart grow stronger. Good Luck!!! and remember love is love no matter how far away it is.

you two need to learn to be apart sometimes. you can't always be near each other. you're less than two hours away. it's not that far. you can talk on the phone or even online. or meet half way if you really have to. you have the weekends and holidays. the most you'll be apart is what.. 6 days? are you just worried he'll find someone else? you should trust him. like i said an hour and a half is not that far.

Hour and a half? That's not too far. If you two are both trustworthy, it'll won't be a problem.

As soon as that hour and half starts feeling more like a day away, then get out.

How can it be stessful? You're only an hour and a half away. You can always visit him on weekends or holidays. Not to be mean but you sound kind of pathetic. You can always call him, email him, talk to him online, etc. What's the big deal?

ehh long distance relationships are the most impossible and hardest thing to do - esp. since you mentioned that you're in college - college is definitely tha beginning of big changes - it's a different environment, you change, new people, etc...but your long distance relationship is all up to you and your boyfriend - if you're willing to make it work, then go for it. But let me warn you, in this case, most couples end up splitting because of all that "growing up and discovering" that feel that they've missed out because of their relationship. But if you are willing to make it work, you have REALLY REALLY work at it. Good luck!

Long distance relationships are pretty difficult to maintain. The only except to that (in my book) is if there is something really special in terms of the bond between the two of you.

Try to move to a closer college near home or wherever he lives. Why go so far away when you can get the same education anywhere you go.

Insecurity and long distance relationships are a rocky emotional rollercoaster ride. It's a tough call. It'd depend on your situation exactly.

YOU MAKE SOUND LIKE YOU ARE MILES AND MILES AWAY.
IF HE LOVES YOU, THEN HE'LL WAIT FOR YOU, YOUR ONLY
1 1/2 HOURS AWAY. NOW IF YOU WERE IN A DIFFERENT
CITY (FURTHER OUT) AND IT WAS HARD FOR HIM TO GO VISIT OR YOU COULDN'T GET AWAY THEN YEAH IT'LL BE
STRESSFUL. BUT YOUR JUST AROUND THE CORNER
THERE SHOULDN'T BE NO BIG DEAL. UNLESS HE IS A PLAYER. DON'T WORRY, UNLESS HE GIVE'S YOU A REASON TO WORRY.

My boyfriend and I started out as a long distance relationship. I think it keeps things still fresh. You can keep the relationship spicy that way...espcially if all you have is a phone. ;)
