College scholarships are not as frequent opportunities for girls, especially in basketball. Usually, these scholarships come around to the superior, top-notch teams. Even now, parents are paying thousands a year to enhance their kids' ability in basketball- of course there is the desire to get a hold of a scholarship. So, it depends- the value of it. To obtain a scholarship, I believe one would definitely have to make some sacrifices.

However much it costs to go to that school. It varies depending on the costs of each school. Tuition, room&board, and books.
