At the beginning of December, one of my best guy friends asked me to his dance. The week before the dance, everything was going great and he even told one of my friends that he really liked me. The dance was perfect, everything was amazing, and he kissed me a few times. But the week after, we hardly talked and everytime I asked him to hangout, he would say he was busy. It might be because he lives about 30 min. away ..but it's been about a month now and we STILL haven't hung out. It seems like he's not interested anymore ..so should I even try? I still want him as a best friend but I don't want to come off as trying to get together with him if I ask to hangout because I know that's what he'll think.

I mean, he kissed me and everything and I thought everything was perfect ..so, is it just me or is that just something that guys do...

Beats me! I've had some amazing dates that just didn't go anywhere. I'm afraid that you just have to focus on your other friends and let this one go for now. If he figures things out, he will contact you. If you keep trying to make contact with him when he is so obviously not interested, you are running the risk of coming off as something of a stalker. If a guy is interested, he WILL let it be known. If he hasn't been seen or heard from - he is not interested for whatever reason. Often, it is impossible to figure out what the reason might even be - best we can do is move on.

If he didn't go any further than kissing you a few times, then I couldn't agree that he "used you." A date isn't a commitment for the rest of your life, even if it involves a few kisses. There may have been something he saw that you didn't, and for whatever reason he feels this one isn't going to work out. Or, as stated above, he could be feeling insecure and maybe even fearful that with a second date, things definintely will go "all the way." Lots of variables there, and lots of "what-ifs". Time will tell. There's lots of other fish in the sea, and while you wait for this guy to call you again, you could be enjoying yourself any way you please. He didn't put a ring on your finger, did he?

Sorry to say this, but I think he regrets going so far as to kiss you. He probably wants things to just fall apart over time... "disappearing act", they call it.

Sounds like he used you, if he really liked you, he would have stayed around. Good luck.
