Just wash off the discharge and rinse the area. Your doctor should have given you antibiotic / antibacterial / whatever eye drops. That's what mine did when I had a sty, those things suck.

one just showed up under my left eye lid yesterday. i get this once in awhile (it feels hard under my upper eyelid, but it's not so bad - it kinda looks like the part where you put your eye shadow is a little puffy. Anyway, it started bothering me more tonight (kinda itchy). I went to the bathroom and lifted my eyelid up and sure enough there was this little white dot where one of my eyelashes i thought should be. With very clean hands I gently used my index and thumb finger to squeeze it and amazingly, it popped out w/o any problems. as soon as i did that, pus just kept coming out and i had to repeat the squeezing several times over until it just started bleeding lightly and no more pus was coming out. my eye feels 100% better, the swellling is down. I don't feel any itching either. Remember: wash your hands before and after you do this!!! By the way, I also placed a hot tea bag (generic store cheapy kind) on the eye which helped w/ the itching after I popped it. I SWEAR, it has only been an hour since I did this, and look I'm on the computer typing and my eyes are not even tearing up:-) I'm good to go for the weekend!!!!

Don't squeeze it. If you want to help the infection out, gently pull/push the skin on either side away from the sty. That will create enough tautness to aid the release of the infection.

I hope it gets better soon (and it will now that it has broken open). Keep it clean until it fully heals.

Put the warm wash cloth back on it. Be prepared to have a sticky eye in the morning, you may need to use a clean wash cloth to open your eye in the morning. Make sure there is no green discharge, if there is go back and get an antibiotic. I needed eye drops and oral antibiotics to get rid of mine.

P.S. my Dad always would say stop peeing in the road. LOL

Whenever I get them, wait till it comes to a head or in your case when it starts to discharge. I give it a good hard squeeze and try and pop the core out. It hurts like hell for the time you do it but at least "I found that the cure is on it's way"
Good luck

That's what you want, right? I'd say wash it with the shampoo again and just keep it clean, and it'll drain by itself.

I USED TO GET THOSE ALL THE TIME WHEN I WAS YOUNGER FROM SHARING EYE MAKE UP WITH MGIRLFRIENDS. ANYWAY. I ALWAYS USED WARM BORIC ACID COMPRESSES AND IT POPPED AND DRAINED. THEN IT HEALS UP ON ITS OWN ;~)
