If a people have wealth, then they can turn their new home into something more like their old one. But poverty causes a people to lose all the things that contributed to their comfort, turning their home into an unfamiliar, uncomfortable place.

wealth in this world is fleeting since you can't take it with you when you die. it becomes a strange land because you will always wind up with nothing.
poverty becomes a strange place, for you will have everything you need after death. having everything, it becomes a strange land of plenty.

Well said. But poor people do not always are prepared to leave their own place for a living. Muslims in general and Bangladeshis are exceptions who can go anywhere in the world for a living. They do not attach dignity to living, it appears.
