Have problem with my Casio Exilim s500. It operates normally but when I need take picture the screen is blank.

I can view pictures and movies I've taken before. Zoom, flash and other functionality stays the same only the blak screen when taking picture

Perhaps you have the monitor turned off in the shooting mode. Look around in your owner's manual to see how to turn it back on.

Even if you have it "off" in the shooting mode, it would turn on automatically in the viewing mode.
