If it was just a bite, he'll prob eb Ok if he's a bigger dog. whatever the size, give him a piece of bread to eat. It will wrap around the chicken bone so that it will not poke the stomach or intestines. Just watch for vomiting or diarrhea for the next few days. If this happens, he needs to go to the vet immediately

The crock pot/slow cooker is definitely a good way to go. Ordinarily, I wouldn't recommend marinading in a BBQ sauce. Generally, if I'm going to use a BBQ sauce, I'd be grilling my chicken brushed with a little oil, and then I'd add the BBQ sauce about 5-8 minutes before the chicken is finished cooking. You can't use the BBQ sauce if raw chicken has been sitting it it for hours. If baking, just bake at 350 deg. F. You can cover for a bit, then uncover to brown. Chicken should always be tender, but real "fall-off-the-bone" type chicken, is generally chicken cooked in liquid, more of a winter meal... like fricassee, or paprikash... and chick cooked in a sauce, either in a slow cooker, or Dutch oven on top of the stove.

Was it cooked? If it was cooked the concern is the bone splintering and getting caught in your dogs digestive tract. Your dog should be OK, keep and eye on him for a few hours, just in case. If it was raw he will be just fine, many people feed raw chicken to their dogs, as part of their diet.

If I was you, I'd keep an eye on your dog. Chicken bones can splinter and get into the nervous system.

Your dog may get a seizure from this (ever watch Rob & Big?) My advice to you will be to see a vet just for precautionary reasons. Might want to get checkups for your dog while you are at it then.
