There was an ad on tv a few years ago where a woman rubbed some product in her hair every morning and also onto the back of her boyfriend's head and they both got lighter as the days went by...at least, that's the product i'm thinking of. I'm after something that will gradually send my dark blonde hair lighter...Can anyone recommend anything else? Much appreciated.

If you're in NZ, Australia or maybe some neighbouring country, I remember this product from Sunsilk where its a cream-like product, and you rub some in everyday, and the hair gets lighter and lighter. I think its called Sunsilk hair-lightening cream. Maybe that's the one you were thinking of...I can't remember exactly the ad for it, but I remember seeing this young guy, that Sunsilk cream, and I think a woman too...oh and I remember seeing his hair getting lighter and lighter...
I'm not sure if this product is still available though. I don't even know if Sunsilk is available in the US, but judging from its website, I'm guessing it is, so maybe there's a higher chance of the product being available there than anywhere else...? (there's hardly anything GOOD here)
If its not this product, or if you can't get this product then I can't help you sorry...

They make alot of lightening products now a day but when I was younger I use to use real lemon juice (that I squeezed myself) and put some Hydrogin Peroxide with it and put in a spray bottle and then add water to it shake it up sparay it on comb through and sit in the sun! But unless you live in Florida or someplace like that then this won't be practical. The next thing is a product called Sun In you spray it on and you can use a blow dryer to help it lighten your hair as it dries! Good Luck!

That depends on your base color some will make your hair orange so a color would be the best bet.
No product can lift your hair without chemicals.
Ask you hairstylist what they recommend for your hair type.
Good luck
