People call themselves Christian based on their belief in what the Bible tells them. And God's word appears to be very clear, at least that's what they always tell me.

Why is it when I ask why Christians are against gay-marriage, or against abortion or euthanasia, I get accused of 'generalizing Christians' ?

They ALL share the same faith in what God tells them in His book. Is it my fault that one Christian interprets God's word differently than another Christian? Or is it God's fault that He wasn't very clear in his Holy Choice of words?

I can kinda see where you're coming from. People have different ways of interpreting the Bible, kinda like English literature enthusiasts interpret the many meanings behind Shakespeare plays i suppose...
But, I've never met a Christian who was strongly opposed to abortion, gay-relationships etc. So I wouldn't know.
I know one thing though: all Christians' beliefs are based on what the Bible tells them, so they must have some sort of trait that defines them all, therefore we are able to generalise them, as much as they hate it...

"Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor" (II Timothy 2:20)

Anyone can call themselves a Christian. The question you have to ask is, do they meet God's criteria for being called a Christian. That is the first distinction which needs to be made.
Secondly, all may be members of the family, but you can't expect the two year old to have the same understanding as his eighteen year old sibling.
Unfortunately, many Christians fail to heed this word of exhortation:
"...we are no longer to be children tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up into Him, who is the head, even Christ." (Ephesians 4:14,15)

one way of finding at it may be to declare that the Bible grew to become into written through guy, who's fallible, as a result it stands to reason that aspects of the Bible are additionally incorrect or open to broader interpretation. If the Bible grew to become into written through guy (which, i think of we are able to correctly assume a minimum of for the hot testomony is genuine) then it somewhat is greater guy's know-how of the reality of God than the truthfully reality itself. with the aid of fact the Bible is created from the critiques and insights of many distinctive adult adult males then the thought each and every person Christians hate homosexuals is incorrect in its premise considering the fact that, as i've got reported above, it somewhat isn't any longer the real reality however the reality as those adult adult males who wrote it down observed it. So some Christians could examine the Bible as asserting that and others would possibly no longer. i think of that Gods observe relies upon on the guy who hears it. it somewhat is like chinese language whispers-the top message is in many situations very distinctive from the single on the commencing up. seem on the awareness of Jesus Christ, case in point, who hated faith profiting off the message of God yet who now has many followers merchandising little plastic collectible figurines of him as a fashion to 'unfold the affection'. i think of that has variety of skewed the unique message. 'm no longer a Christian through ways, i'm only attempting to state the argument in a rational and non-partisan way. :)

yes, a christian is merely one who follows christs teachings, but many, almost all christians have had their image of him distorted by the church.
Jesus was not even seen as divine until after 300 CE, and there were many gospels declareing his mortality and his child sarah, only in the Council of Nicea by Constantine in Rome did his image change to a "divine, god like virgin man and son of god"

If the Council of Nicea had added ALL the gospels and not just the ones it wanted, christians would be ALOT diffrent then they are today

If my words anger any christian, please read the gopsel of Phillip, mary, and judas, dont base your worship on a select text, read what was read longs before, when christianity was new and before it was changed into what you have today.

Have faith in God. Ask God to help you understand his word and then you will understand. See man has written the Bible over and over for many centuries. They left out lots of things in the Bible. Well shall I say, Satan has placed his hand on man's shoulder, and told man what to write and what not to write. Satan don't want man to follow God. Satan wants man to follow him. Now my faith and my belief, I don't/will not follow Satan. To me Satan is nothing. It doesn't matter what people may say whether it's good or bad. The only one that I listen to is God. People will say things to discourage your faith, and belief in God. Don't listen to them. Just follow your heart, and ask God to guide you. Then when the time comes, I'll see you in heaven my friend!
