Why? Why not?

You shall surely be tried in your possessions, and your persons, and you shall surely hear many hurtful things from those who were given the Book before you, and from those who set up equals to God. But if you show patience and fortitude and act righteously, that indeed is a matter of high resolve.

So have patience. Surely, the promise of God is true. And ask forgiveness for them for the wrongs they have done thee and glorify thy Lord with His praise in the evening and the in morning.

Patience over the things I want is much easier than the passion that it is aroused over the the things that pain me.

The past is always re-presenting itself with a new twist....patience over the things that cause/ed pain is difficult. One must learn to "know themselves", and it is not an easy thing to do.
